I am getting married.

Published by yanjiaren under news Edit This

I want to apologize to all my readers for not blogging and keeping up withe Every one of late because many things are happening at the moment including my getting married and being a beta tester for a humongous site that is going to launch in a few days which will be mega exciting for out Bloggers once it us up and running.
Although this is my second marriage I am still feeling dead nervous about the whole event and at one point I thought I was getting cold feet because I feel a little lonely being away from all my Family. Both of us are here in Canada but neither of us have any family members here and I was thinking that even though it is Paradise here in Richmond, BC, without our families it feels a little barren.
I realize more than ever that family plays so much of an important part in our lives and more often than not we take family members for granted which is something now I feel some times a little guilty about. Although I am by nature very affectionate, I sometimes didn’t do enough as I should have done and want to one day be in a situation to make up for things. I have to learn though to live a life without regrets and just learn from my past mistakes and move on.
I hope these crucial experiences in life will give us wisdom and insight into how best to live the MOMENT and who knows that moment can mark a good place in History if we live it to perfection.

Just moved to Vancouver

Published by yanjiaren under news Edit This

Temple Gardens, Richmond, BC

Hello my Lovely FRIENDS.
Sorry for not posting of late but I just moved to Richmond, Vancouver with my Fiance to settle him back to Canada and I did my back in with the move so I wasn’t all that well. I am recovering now and enjoying the lovely spring air here. My visa expires in two months so i will be sad to go but hopefully if we can get married soon and I can apply for a visa then I will try to stay here and come and go to the U.K too as I have my Son and family there. I would like to be able to live in both countries.
The climate here is very mild and reminds me of home, the U.K that is.
I like it here for the greenery and the standard of living in this area is great and the streets are very neat and clean. Every one is so polite and friendly and I like that.
There is a humongous CHINESE community here too and as I am engaged to a Chinese that sounds pretty good to me. I am very impressed the the restaurants here too although I coo mainly at home and now I am vegetarian I have of course less choice but it is still fun eating out now and then. Life is more expensive here than New York or Toronto, food that is but rents are a little cheaper than New York and the quality of the accommodation is great too. I would love to buy a house here if I ever got the money though and have my own place with a garden. Maybe one day eh?
See you all tomorrow.
I hope to make some videos later on and post on the blog so you can see where I am at this time in the World lol.

Blog of the week: News Today

The blog of the week award has to go to SkyGuitar’s News Today blog as it always gives me a lift and and a laugh as I read it. I enjoy the with and humor of this blog as well as all the fascinating news and facts that are spread across the pages of this zany blog. A lot of thought and effort has gone into writing this News Blog and why it is different from other news blogs is that is gives such a unique twist to some really col and very unusual news items.
Along with the very unorthodox news stories you will also get tales of regular news stuff but in a very unusual and personal format which makes this bpg such a fantastic read.
I will always visit this blog so I hope SkyGuitar always keeps it going as it is definitely one of my top reads and the latest post I think many of us can identify with as it is to do with the Global Economic Crisis and some doom and gloom bits to make us feel even better lol. If you haven’t already taken a peak at this blog then you should do as soon as you get a minute. You won’t regret it believe me. Oh I have to also apologize to my Lovely readers for being off for a few days but we are busy moving to Vancouver in search for a job and a better life, yes you guessed it because the Economy sucks and Hubby can’t find a job in Toronto! So please visit my fantastic Friend’s blog and make my day.

What really is Valentine’s Day?

Published by yanjiaren under general updates Edit This

I am thinking about Valentine’s day and wondering what it all is about.
Well because we are both jobless and nearly running out of all our ready money I said to my Hubby to be that due to the fact that we don’t have any money to buy each other anything and our future is so uncertain I want to treasure every moment we have together and make each moment as precious and alive as possible.
So thi is my gift to my Hubby to be.

1. Never put him down and expose his weaknesses.

2. Never argue with him especially about minor or silly things, if we have some difference we will DISCUSS it.

3. Always consult with him on projects I might want to do as a sign of respect even though he just let’s me get on with it.

4. If things get really bad always to remember him and where ever we are remember that I am always going to be his wife in thought and deed.

5 When times are tough like now not complain but work with him to get the best out of it.

6. Cook him the best meal I can on a budget of five bucks.

7. Be loyal and faithful in thought and deed.

8. Have a good time with free entertainment like singing and dancing to Youtube vids, that’s free.

9. Always be open and honest with him but make sure I compliment hi at least once a day lol.

10.Always keep my chin up and never let anything get us down or between us.

This is my Valentine’s gift to the One I love as I don’t have anything of material value to present on this day.

We have each other and that is all that matters. Sorry I can’t help out some shop owners in this economic climate but my economy has reached melt down lol.

My Entre Worries are over and my 100 Entrecard Giveaway!

Published by yanjiaren under news Edit This

For over a day I couldn’t log in to my Entrecard and didn’t get a reply from support and thought that all my Entre dropping days were over but suddenly I just thought I would try again and there I was logged in to my EntreCard account.
I do hope my Friends will drop by and drop me a card but I will have to now catch up with loads of dropping as the day has gone by and I had to spend half of in resetting passwords because my whole windows was reset due to my not being able to log in to my Gmail. That had a terrible problem with it and it has happened to me twice. I had to twice reset my computer. I still don’t know what that problem is, if it is a virus that affects Google mail. I just don’t have a clue.
I do hope all my Entre Friends won’t forget me as I will start dropping by on them one by one until I reach my lovely three hundred again.
Happy Entre dropping and hope you don’t encounter the problems that I am facing from all corners at the moment. I can tell you straight that the last few weeks life ain’t been fun but all I can do is keep my chin up adn keep writing, even if my whole world falls apart around me, on my own definitely can’t stop it.

Good news though to celebrate having my Entrecard back I am giving away 100 Entrecard credits to 50 special people who read and take up this freebie offer.!! So snap up some free shares and Entrecredits today!

Intermission: My YEKE YEKE on Youtube Vid

Published by yanjiaren under People, spirituality Edit This

Well it has been a week of rough and tumble so I decided to chill and take time out doing the things I love most like singing. I forgot about the Global Economic Crisis a bit and totally indulged in singing one of my favorite songs which is Mory Kante’s Yeke Yeke which came about about 20 odd year ago but I never had the lyrics then and always wanted to learn how to sing it. I had African musician Friends but they didn’t come from Mali or Senegal but mainly from Central Africa so I never got that chance to sing other African music save in Yoruba or Swahili. I did learn a lot of Rai though as I had Algerian Friends too and Rai was big in France and still is and as many Algerians came to the U.K they brought Rai with them. I am a great Khaled and Mami Fan.

Anyway here  is my rendition of Yeke Yeke by Mory Kante and I know it isn’t perfect but it helped me forget my troubles, hope it can bring a smile to you too.

Thought of the day: On the Art of Dying

Published by yanjiaren under general updates Edit This

In today’s economic climate it is very difficult to enliven culture and art. I see myself today deriorating culturally because 90% of my thoguht process is now switched on primarily to surviving and keeping a roof over my head.

i see a lot of artists like me who due to financial constraints have had to bury their artistic temperaments in order to do things that are just for general sustenance of the body. I do sometimes wonder though as I was thinking today, what about my sustenance for my Soul? Where is that coming from if I can’t feed it through artistic means?

Well I do have hope, hope and faith in a God that may one day bring me back to being my true self, but who knows if it will ever happen again in this lifetime. I wonder really how many people are drying p like a prune just like me at this very moment in time. How many are dying from the inside. Maybe this is it, the only art I am learning now is the art of dying.

Barack Obama: On social Justice at a national prayer breakfast event.

President Barack Obama made a heart felt speech in the White House Prayer Room today when he engaged every one to view their faith as a form not only of developing a personal relationship with God but also that it is a moral obligation as a person of Faith to seek out Social Justice as a cause and develop empathy among one another. By engaging in dialogue he spoke of the intercession of God’s Grace. In other words if we learn to communicate with each other then God will pour down his Divine blessings and Grace on such an auspicious event.

If we truly want God in our lives then we have to develop at least a God like instinct in order to recognize God in all of our actions. How we speak, eat and above all inter act plays a role in the kind of God consciousness we may awaken in ourselves and above all help awaken in others. Empathy and Compassion are the real driving forces behind true or Divine Love. Without these two components Love can not flow through the Heart of Mankind.

It is time now for real change and Obama is helping to catapult real moral change from within the White House to the rest of the World. If any one can really succeed in the pursut of Happiness then it is definitely Barack Obama.

The Harmonic convergence 2010? {The Master Blaster Jamming}

Published by yanjiaren under People Edit This

Well now you can get a gist about the Convergence 2012 pole shift and Mayan legacy through the Rasta Perspective. It’s great so see so many different people from all parts of the World through their own cultural experiences and Naahniki gives us here his own interpretation of Pole shift etc.
I like to scour through the different colorful videos on the subject of the 2012 Convergence as the message of peace, love, coming together and real global harmony kicks into my subconscious.
I believe growing up and living a very uprooted life that we all should look and focus on the more positive aspects of Human Nature then if we amplify these then there is a chance we may be able to eradicate evil actions or negative thoughts.
This lovely person brings his own flavor and color to the Convergence factor though I don’t take herbal highs myself, I think he has a unique style and talent of his own in bringing home a message, to Blacks, Whites and every one else in between. Enjoy the Youtube video with Naahniki.
