We all see the dramatic shifts in political consensus in the U.S and Barack Obama being voted in as the Next President seems more imminent now than ever. Is this showing the true face of a changing America?

At the present time in History the U.S is made up of a 66% Caucasian White population with a 44% of other mixed and varying races as a minority but by the year 2050 it is predicted that this will alternate and the Coloured Minority will by then be the Majority.

Many are welcoming this as a unifying force in a culurally rich and diverse America but others view it as a threat to their own survival, namely of Caucasian Origin.  Many now will vote Obama in not because of race but because purely he is an American trying to change the face of Washington Politics which has reached a stalemate in this financially turbulent climate and era of uncertainty.

So voting for Obama is it just the Dream of Matin Luther King coming to fruition or the real fact of pure logistics that is forcing the shift to take place through a natural course of events in demographics? Whatever the answer may be it is high time that American Politics reflected that of its diverse cultural entities.
