Food for thought: On attachment and Non Attachment

Published by yanjiaren at 1:33 pm under spirituality Edit This

Finding balance in our lives and living the Holistic Dream isn’t easy but even with the challenges we face taking care of our bodies is as important as any of our other activities.

People often misunderstand detachment from all ‘THINGS’ as an uncaring attitude towards Creation in general but actually it means Freeing Yourself from any situation. This is self improvement without attainment as you don’t need to attain anything because you are already there anyway.

Let me give you an example.

‘Oh I feel crap today”  or ‘MY LIFE IS CRAP’ Meaning that YOU ARE ATTACHED TO A CRAPPY SITUATION’ which in turn means you will attract even more crap into your life because you don’t detach from that situation.

If you leap outside ‘YOUR CRAP HOOD’ into a space where there is nothing, then you will be detached and be able to see what is actually causing this situation of crap hood.

Love and attachment also are two different things. You can love but be free from needing anyone or anything. In other words you can love but without expecting any thing in return, then once you get to this point whatever goodness does come bouncing back it is a bonus and will be far more valuable. I see in my life the more I let go of anything, the more it is willing to be a part of me because in reality I am Everything, or a part of everything so there is NOTHING TO BE DETACHED FROM ANYWAY.

Now I hope this paradox will make you scratch your head and enjoy your next cup of green tea while you are at it lol.Oh and if you are wondering ‘WHAT the……*****……    IS SHE ON? I don’t take any herbal highs………………………….. Laughing
